Quote:TL;DR: Your request likely had little to do with your expulsion, your behavior and manner of presenting your request did.
Quote:This was just one of several issues like this I encountered in the UNI. And I am persistent about bullsh** when I see it and there was a lot of bullsh**, in E-UNI. Still assuming your premise is dead on, that does not make the management right, just heavy handed, that they handled things as they did.
Also, I have very friend of 30+ years who is a researcher at the Georgia Institute of Technology, and I can assure you he is credited for everything he writes as are his colleagues. Your information regarding how Universities operate, is erroneous, at least in the US.
I currently have a management position at a major US University.

Your "friend" needs to understand that there are different agreements for instructors, Professors (Tenured or otherwise), and researchers... and this can vary from one teaching institution to another.
We recently had one researcher and his team of students come up with a remarkable permeable concrete that has a tendency NOT to ice up, and other that came up with some rather unique applications for BlueTooth technology.
These applications, of course, belong to the University. Papers written to present their findings, including to the various educational and scientific journals DO credit them... because this is how their contract is written. Usually when a representative of a University wishes recognition for their work there are certain procedures that they need to follow.
Obviously you have no contract, it's a video game, so you really have no ground to stand on other than to issue a polite request for recognition.
Apparently you were asked to wait until they had time to make a fair decision, and it looks like you ignored that completely and continued to bend the ear of anyone and everyone to get your request prioritized.
Ultimately, it backfired and you got the boot. Unfortunate, but really you forced this result.
You see, you don't have the agreements in place that an actual Professor has. In fact your relationship with EVE Uni would seem to be more akin to that of a Student Worker... who can be let go for the slightest reason, or no reason at all. This often happens when said person becomes more trouble than they are worth.
Apparently you did a lot of good work for EVE Uni, so it's pretty easy to surmise that you must have made a pretty big pain in the ass out of yourself over this for them to decide it was easier just let you go.
Whether their decisions is right or wrong is irrelevant. It was their decision to make, and they don't need to justify that to you or anyone else for that matter.
I see you believe that the correct course of action is to continue with the behavior that has caused your problems to escalate as they have.
Good luck with that.
